Growing Pains

Difficulty arrives uninvited

A shadow across the path of our life

But even in crisis

There is potential for healing

Tragedy too,

Can become a profound teacher

A deep, transformative experience

That can guide us toward spiritual insight

Expansion always begins inside

Long before it shows up on the surface

Before the world notices a shift

Before the body feels the change

It starts in the deep, unseen places

Where we are growing

Where the old clothes don't fit anymore

And old identity feels too tight

Too small for the person we are becoming

We may temporarily lose ground

Feel disoriented

As we shed what no longer serves us

But it is in this letting go

That we make room for what is to come

These growing pains

Are invitations

To step into a wonder, more expansive version of ourselves

To trust

That even in the discomfort

We are being shaped and transformed
