How Human Of Me

How human of me

To stumble through the nuance of life

To carry the mess and the magic

Of being embodied

I am threads woven

Into something larger

A single strand

in the great turning of humanity

None of us are alone

We are all part of the whole

Each of us a note in the song

That rises to heal the world

Our healing is never just our own -

It is proximal

It is collective

Compassionate care always ripples outward

One heart to another

Raising the vibration

Lifting the weight that we all carry

To honour this earth

To see ourselves

In its rivers

Its roots

Its sky

Is to honour the truth

That we are not separate

We are this planet

We are this life

And so,

I turn inward

To heal myself

To know that each small act of love and kindness

Is an offering to the whole

To uplift my world

To uplift our world

How human of me

To be messy and real

To hold my imperfections with self-compassion

To light my own way

And trust it will guide another
