The Poetry Of Earth

She speaks

In the hush of forests

In the softness of moss underfoot

In the chorus of the wind through the ancient trees

In the birdsong at dawn

In the glorious bloom of wildflowers

All of creation is a verse

Bees, oceans, fungi, flame -

Each playing their part in the great poem

Nature and humanity

Are not separate stanzas in the song of life

But threads

In a tapestry of breath, blood and belonging

We are invited now

Not as masters

But as kin

To reweave what we unravelled

To bow to the soil

Rooting our actions in care

The Earth though wounded

Holds the promise

That she will come back to life

Not through conquest

Or domination

But through reverence

And care

And the respectful stitching of what has been torn

And in her mending

And we are all part of the chorus

Of the poetry of the earth
