The Promise Of The Seed
Seed time
is the time to be.
Not to push toward the bloom.
Not to struggle to bear fruit.
But to sink into the silence of the Earth,
to rest in the dark,
to not yet know its expression.
This is the season of the quiet
of becoming without forcing,
of trusting its own emergence.
The seed does not demand its shape.
it does not hurry the soil to yield.
It simply rests,
held in the embrace
of its own promise.
And when the time is right,
and as surely as it will come -
The flower will bloom,
the fruit will ripen,
revealing itself
in its own colours
with its own fragrance,
in the fullness
of its own promise.
